Dr. Harold Katz, founder of The California Breath Clinics is an expert in the fields of bad breath, tonsil stones and dry mouth. He has appeared on television shows in the USA many times and is known as the “Bad Breath Guru” because he has helped millions of people around the world get rid of their bad breath.
Dr. Katz is a graduate of UCLA and the UCLA School of Dentistry and holder of a separate degree in Bacteriology , also from UCLA. In the 1970’s he set up a successful dental practice in Beverly Hills, California, minutes from the 20th Century Fox Studios. It was here that he perfected his techniques while working with some of Hollywood’s biggest rising stars.
Dr. Katz began his research into the causes of bad breath in the early 1990's after he was unable to help his own daughter with her severe and chronic breath problem. His background in Bacteriology assisted him in realising that bad breath is caused by a group of Anaerobic Sulphur-Producing Bacteria which breed within the tongues surface and throat.
Armed with this knowledge, Dr. Katz experimented with new formulas that would attack this bacteria within the mouth. In 1993 he founded the California Breath Clinics where he treated and continued to study patients with chronic breath problems, tonsil stones and other oral care issues. Clinical tests of Dr. Katz’s patients have repeatedly resulted in complete elimination of over 98% of the bacteria that cause bad breath within the mouth.
